Good to know
Frequently asked questions
- Is this affiliated with Babson?
- No. This is an independent, unofficial website. It was built by Babson students and is still run by Babson students, not by the college.
- Who can write a review? Do I need to log in?
- Anyone can write a review. No login, no personal info like your name or email is ever collected.
- Can other people see who wrote a review?
- Reviews are public, so anyone visiting the site can read them, but they're fully anonymous. There's no name, login, or personal info attached to a review, so nothing about it can be traced back to you.
- How are the ratings calculated?
- It depends on the question. Overall Rating, Hours/week, and self-reported Grade are straight averages across every review that answered that question. Difficulty, Practical vs. theoretical, Prior knowledge needed, Group projects, Participation level, and Would take again (per professor) aren't numbers on a scale: they're shown as a percentage breakdown of how reviewers actually answered (e.g. "40% said Challenging, 30% said Moderate"), since averaging them into one number would hide real disagreement. Either way, if a review skips a question, it's left out of that question's numbers entirely rather than counted as a zero or a default answer.
- How come I've never heard of this site before?
- This site was built earlier this year, and we spent time building up a base of real, organic reviews first so it would actually be useful and valuable to current students from day one, rather than launching with an empty catalogue. We felt Fall 2026 was the right time to launch.
